Picture Day

“What do I need for Picture Day?”

Most importantly, a big smile! Please note our photographers are not responsible for personal grooming or hygiene, but we will make every effort to get the best photo possible of your child!

“What if my child wore green on Picture Day?”

Don’t worry! We suggest not wearing green on picture day as many schools choose to use our green screen background, but if your child did wear green, we usually can still switch the background out for you. Please note that the website may switch green fabric to match the background, however this will not occur on the final product.

“What if I’m not happy with the photo taken on Picture Day?”

Most schools will schedule retakes and we are always happy to retake your picture! Please return any proofs or packages to the photographer on retake day. For pre-pay programs such as Friends and Faces and Studio Style, your retake package will be delivered automatically once the original package is returned.

“My photo seems very dark, can it be fixed?”

Please note that the proofs are for posing and expression only and may print darker than the actual photo taken, and we can lighten the final product if the actual photo is dark. Please contact us at 780-944-0800 if you have further concerns.

Ordering

“I missed my proof due date, what can I do?”

We keep photos on file for five years, so orders can still be placed past the deadline! Please fill out the “Late Order” section of your paper order form and mail in or drop off at our office, or select “Free Pickup” or “Shipping” if ordering online.

“Where do I find my access code?”

Access codes for proof programs will be printed on the proofs provided. For pre-pay programs, the school code is printed on the order form and can be used to order online. Please note that access codes are case sensitive.

“What is included with retouching?”

Retouching will cover facial blemishes, redness, and shine. If you require any further items retouched, please contact our office at 780-944-0800 to discuss as additional charges may apply. Please note that we will not automatically remove moles, freckles, scars, or stray hairs. If any of these need to be removed, please specify on your order.

“How do I reorder photos?”

You can reorder photos using the reorder form provided with your package, or by using the access code on the order form to access the online ordering system.

“How long does it take to get my photos?”

If you are ordering during the school portrait season (August through December) and selecting school delivery, your photos should be delivered within 3-4 weeks of the proof deadline as noted on your order form. Single orders placed any time of year ship within 2-4 weeks.

“Can I place my order over the phone?”

We want to make sure we complete your order accurately, so we do not take phone orders at this time as we require a physical copy of the order form to be submitted. This allows us to refer to your order at any point during the process and make sure you get the poses, backgrounds, and enhancements that you want. Graduation Sittings

“What should I wear?”

Gentlemen, please wear a shirt and tie for your photos. Ladies, a collared shirt can be worn for a more modern feel, while a shirt or blouse with a lower neck that won’t show over the gown looks more traditional.

“How long does a sitting take?”

Sittings take approximately 15 minutes. Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to get your sitting ticket filled out, gown sized, and to relax and prepare for your session!

“How many photos do you take?”

We give you proofs of 10 poses each sitting.

“Do you do casual portraits?”

Yes, your graduation sitting comes with the option for casual portraits. You can bring a separate outfit to wear, or props, uniforms, jerseys, etc. – anything that will personalize the session for you! We do have a small number of items available for use as well. Please note that large items, pets, or items that may be construed as a weapon should be given permission by the school before being brought in to a sitting.

“What about hair and makeup?”

We suggest that ladies refrain from having their hair done specially for their photos, as more often than not it does not come across natural or comfortable. Natural, comfortable styles make for the best photos – this applies to both hair and makeup. Your hands will also be visible in some photos, so be sure to have clean, non-chipped nails!

“What is the deadline on graduation photos?”

Graduation photos are not ordered or shipped through the school, so there is no set due date – they can be ordered any time over the next five years! Please note that pricing and product availability is only guaranteed until the following summer, after which we may need to send you a new order form. Give us a call if you’d like a new order form sent out!

“Where do I find my access code?”

Your access code for the ordering website is located on your proofs. Please note that the access code can be activated by only one user at a time. If you need to reset your code, please call us at 780-944-0800. Please note that access codes are case sensitive.

“How long does it take to get my photos?”

Graduation photos may take 4-8 weeks to be delivered after being ordered.

“What does a certain item/finish look like?”

Previews of a number of products can be seen in the Information Booklet provided to you at your sitting. You can also see sample products in the ordering section on our grad store website. We also have a number of sample items available to see at our office. Please feel free to call us at 780-944-0800 for further information about products and samples or customizable items.

“What comes in a certain package?”

Packages for graduation photos are different than for school portraits. Our packages can be any poses and sheet size, and have a common finish and number of sheets per package. Please see page 2 of the order form for further information on how to fill out the order form.

“What does basic retouching include?”

All poses ordered come with basic retouching, which includes color correction, facial blemishes, and shine or redness. Anything further, including stray hairs, tattoos and piercings, stubble, etc. is considered advanced retouching.

“Can I place my order over the phone?”

General Information

“Where are you located?”

Our address is #5, 10121 – 82 Avenue, in Edmonton. We are located right on Whyte Avenue, on the south side of the street. We are on the second floor of the building and our entrance is located between Frestie’s and The Hexagon Café.

“Why isn’t anyone answering the phone?”

Due to the seasonal nature of our work, we experience an incredibly high volume of calls at certain times of year. We make every effort to answer your calls as quickly as possible while still providing the best customer service possible. Please know that whenever you leave a message, we will return your call. If you have called during regular business hours, we will make every effort to return your call the same business day, and all calls received outside of business hours will be returned the next business day.

“What if I’m unhappy with my order?”

We want to make sure you get a photo you are happy with, but if you are not 100% satisfied, we stand by our “Three R” guarantee – we will Retake, Reprint, or Refund anything you are not 100% happy with. Please contact our customer service by email or by phone so we can assist you with correcting your order.
